Summer 2012 Preview

This summer is set to be a cracker – as long as each major release actually delivers. Some are predicting it will be the biggest summer of all time, and that may very well come to fruition. The Avengers

Your move, Mr Nolan

Four years, five movies and now the big one is finally here, and it’s literally the big one. Superhero movies with multiple heroes and villains can easily become over-plotted, convoluted messes or they can have a massive scope at the expense of story. If this movie has turned out as amazing as it has, then that makes me incredibly excited for The Dark Knight Rises later this year.

The Hunger Games: Songs from District 12 and Beyond

From District 12 these songs are indeed

Let’s face it, most soundtracks are just assortments of pop songs written to cash in on a major film release – and few soundtrack songs really shine because of this. The Hunger Games soundtrack is a refreshing exception, which feels like a unified set of songs as an album should, despite that over 15 artists have contributed to this soundtrack.

Six tips for Catching Fire
