Hybrid Theory – Linkin Park

The sheer awe of this album is no theory

Each week leading up to the release of Linkin Park’s fifth album, Living Things, I’ll be posting one review each week of each of their albums leading up to their fifth on June 22. Anyways, you’ll want me to begin reviewing their first album.

During the late 90′s and early 00′s, nu-metal was what ruled the radio-waves. Linkin Park was one of the most popular bands of this genre, and easily the most successful with this album having sold 24 million copies worldwide. It’s easy to see why. SPHERE Extended Cut is Coming!

For festival submission, I will be creating an extended cut of SPHERE, where certain scenes will be changed or altered. Don’t worry, I won’t turn out like George Lucas constantly changing Star Wars! Me and others at Filmbites agree that there were several flaws in the film’s production which I want to fix before it gets submitted for festivals. I hope you like what I change to the movie, and enjoy this cut even more than the original. Now, about the new movie, I’ve been knee-deep in pre-production for it as well as producing for two others in my class ready for the pitch on June 2. Then, I will announce more details about the movie.

The extended cut will be released online June 16. For now, here’s the original cut:

UPDATE: Unfortunately, due to copyright issues, the extended cut cannot be released online until it’s no longer submitted in festivals.

Ceremonials – Florence and the Machine

Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – Nicki Minaj

She’s meant to fly, but she’s crashed and burned

This was the album that Nicki Minaj has been saying was set to change pop culture and music. The last pop songstress who boasted this much to promote her album was Lady Gaga with Born This Way, who claimed it was the album of a generation. Instead throwing all of her effort at the actual album like Gaga did, Minaj has believed in her own hype and made her lukewarm Pink Friday look like an Adele album.
